Who we are
This website is run by Prerana Edutech Labs OPC Pvt Ltd, trading as Prerana Institute for Civil Services, at RTC X Roads, Hyderabad, Telangana 500080. For anything on this page, write to info@preranaics.in or call +91 94934 47719. We are the data fiduciary for the information described below under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
When you create an account. Your name, mobile number, and the exam you are preparing for. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your email address and the name on your Google account. We do not receive your Google password.
When you use LearnX. The questions you ask and the answers given, so the conversation makes sense and so we can see which topics students struggle with. We do not sell this or share it with advertisers.
When you contact us. Whatever you put in the enquiry form or send us on WhatsApp.
Automatically. Standard technical information such as your approximate location by city, browser type and the pages you visited. We use this to fix problems and understand which material students actually use.
Why we collect it
- To give you access to LearnX and to your account
- To send you study material, notification alerts and batch updates you asked for
- To answer your enquiries and follow up about courses
- To work out which topics need new classes or notes
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse
Contacting you
When you create an account you tick a box agreeing that we may contact you about courses, material and exam updates. We may call, message or email you for those reasons. You can stop this at any time by replying STOP, telling us on WhatsApp, or emailing info@preranaics.in. We will act on it, and it will not affect your access to free material.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with services that make this site work:
- Google Firebase — stores your account and verifies your phone number
- Google Gemini — generates LearnX answers. Your question text is sent to Google to produce a reply
- Netlify — hosts this website
- Classplus — runs our course platform and payments, if you enrol
These providers process data on our instructions and may store it outside India.
How long we keep it
Account details are kept while your account exists and for up to twelve months afterwards. LearnX conversations are kept for up to twelve months. Enquiry messages are kept for up to twenty-four months. Ask us to delete any of it sooner and we will.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete your account and data, or withdraw your consent to being contacted. Email info@preranaics.in and we will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
This site is meant for people preparing for graduate-level competitive examinations. If you are under eighteen, please use it with a parent or guardian’s consent. We do not knowingly create accounts for children without it.
Security
Sign-in runs through Google Firebase and we never see or store your password. The connection to this site is encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us anything sensitive — identity numbers, bank details, medical information — through this site or through LearnX.
Cookies
We use only what is needed to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell account holders directly.
